Project obstacles and solutions: This project called for 28,000 square feet of concrete floor, 4 inches thick. Traditionally, the job specs would have called for 8 gauge steel wire 6' x 6' mats to control cracks due to temperature and shrinkage. imix XS was used as an alternative to the wire mats. Using XS saved time on labor and cost less than steel wire mats with concrete.
