Green Concrete?
Concrete is one of the most environmentally sound building materials in the market. Our concrete mixes incorporate regionally produced raw materials and recycled post-industrial waste. Old concrete can be recycled as sub-base material. Concrete also reflects, rather than absorbs, light to reduce heat island effects and reduce the number of outside lights needed in parking lots.

Green rooftops reduce heat island effect
One way to combat the searing summer heat that radiates from flat roofs is to create a green rooftop. Bedding hardy plants on the roof creates a level of insulation and cools the environment.

Landscapers who are working with green rooftops will find that imix Eco Gro Lite is an excellent planting medium that sustains root growth while draining off excess moisture. It is lighter than topsoil and evenly distributes weight across the structure.
