imix XS controls cracking due to temperature changes, reinforces the entire slab
Which of these items would be important to you.
• Consistent reinforcement and crack control
• Saving labor costs
• Speeding up pours without compromising quality
• Reducing on-the-job injuries

Using imix XS can help you accomplish all of the above. XS is a steel-fiber reinforced concrete. The fiber is high quality, hook-end steel designed specifically for superior adhesion to the concrete.

Consistent reinforcement
Crack control is achieved when you have consistent reinforcement pervading the slab. With other reinforcement products, there is a high degree of inconsistency. If rebar is not placed correctly, you will leave weak spots in the concrete that are sure to crack. The same is true of wire fabric mats and wire mesh. The first time a finisher steps on it, the reinforcement goes to the bottom of the slab and is useless. Pull it too high and you will be cutting it out in the troweling process. The fiber in XS is mixed integrally with the concrete, so it is evenly dispersed.

Cost savings and quicker pours
How long does it take a crew to prep the steel reinforcement on your jobs? With XS, there is no reinforcement prep. The steel is already in the concrete right out of the shoot. XS finishes just like regular concrete. No one has to pull wire fabric up into the batch and you’re not storing and moving rebar, mats or rolls of mesh. You will save labor costs, material costs and storage costs. Plus, you can keep your crews moving, finishing more jobs at a quicker pace without compromising reinforcement standards.

Reducing injuries
What do they call someone who places steel reinforcement who claims he has never been cut, gouged or tripped by the product? A new employee during the first 10 minutes on the job! Let’s face the facts, this stuff is a hazard on the job site. With imix XS, you have eliminated a huge job site safety concern.

XS is perfect for
• Slabs on grade
• Composite metal decks
