Project obstacles and solutions: This contractor replaced 6x6' wire 8 gauge wire with imix XS steel fibers. The XS mix saved labor costs, since no reinforcement prep was required and the finisher did not have to have a crew member pull wire during the pour. XS is a better value than concrete with steel wire mats and can be finished like regular concrete.
